anyone have FRYBRID in Chicago?

I bought my SDL 2 1/2 years ago with intentions of converting, i bought my frybrid kit roughtly the same time... i have tools and a garage... however i have no helper...

i installed the tank, the TIH lines, and started mounting underhood stuff and HAVE NOT done the "plumbing" stuff yet... what id like is to see someones install in person so i can get some mounting ideas.... maybe a hand/some help also... i have all the stuff just not the vison in my head... also have a fridge full of beer for the right helper :D

yes, ive looked at pics on frybrids forum... still a bit stumped

Hey there. Is Frybrid calling it TIH now? my experience was HIH or Hose in Hose.

There is plenty of info on Frybrid's forum as well as infopop.biodiesel.com.

Set up is fairly easy to install. Just be creative. Consider mounting the FPHE on the turbo side of the motor if space is too tight. The ABS pump takes up a lot of space. Some mount a bar from the fander to the rad support next to the left side of the rad, then another support down to the chassis. This creates a very sturdy mounting system for the bulky components. (FPHE, Filter, etc.) Consider installing the switching valves on the fender or on a bracket over top some of the factory components.

When approaching fabrication, I will hold the item I wish to locate in a spot where it will fit and be able to be serviced, then brainstorm as to how to keep it there. Be sure to make access to the filter such that service is quick and simple.

Drop me an email if you have other questions. I have access to several cars with a second heated fuel system.

Frybrid has called it Tube-in-Hose from the beginning. TIH because the fuel is carried through an aluminum tube within a heater hose.

PM me if you need install ideas.
