BioDiesel yield?

I'm considering producing my own biodiesel, but I think I should ask about yield.

How much raw WVO produces 1 gallon (or 1 liter, whatever you want to use) of biodiesel I can put in my tank? This will help me determine how many sources I need to get "under contract".

You should get close to 100% yield. You add appx. 20% methanol to the oil and extract about that much glycerine (depending on the quality of the oil).

I'm planning on doing the same a year from now, when the enclave/man cave is completed.
I need to plan space, storage and re-wire the portion of the building not used for repair.
Am hoping to collect then make 50 gallons at a time, using it in a mix with dino fuel, at the same time, monitoring performance and doing the cleanouts of the fuel tank

You should get pretty close to as much biodiesel as you have veggie oil. You'll probably loose a little, but not much.

100%

One of the tests of a successful production run is that you get as much fuel as you start with oil. Not completely definitive but if you get much more or less fuel than you start with you are doing something wrong either too much lye or too little methanol or too hot and you are losing methanol to evaporation. Try not to commit to taking too much oil at first until you get good at it , it is easy to bog down with fixing failed batches. If you look up my username and posts (same as here) on biodiesel infopop forums you can get an idea of what I found to work. I have not changed my design much since it has worked pretty much flawlessly for the past 5 years. Cheers Dan

I react at 110-120F. I use 9gal Meth to react 50gal WVO, and it yields about 47 gals BD.

6 restaurants (1 japanese, 2 pizza, 2 chinese, 1 bar) keep my two mercedes running and my NE home warm all winter.

You will yield about 95% of original WVO amount after you separate glycerin.

Homebrew biodiesel is tough stuff to get right. I homebrewed for a long time, and then switched over to running 2-tank WVO because it is so much easier it's ridiculous.

Be mindful before investing big dollars in a setup. It seems like a great idea until you get into the nitty gritty. It's easy to make biodiesel - it's labor intensive and difficult to make biodiesel suitable to run in your car long term.
