Watch out for your oil boys & girls!

I just lost my main supply to a company called "Geo Green". I have been the only person who ever collected oil for this franchise in LA Ca. I went for my bi weekly pickup and was greeted by a locked container. My barrel was pushed aside. I have been collecting there for over 3 years. I called the owner twice and got no response. No heads up that this was happening. I have all the proper insurance and licenses from the state of Ca. Go to Geo Greens website. They will be making bio diesel from the oil to sell back to people like me.
Something is not kosher about this. I smell a rat. I went to my only other restaurant to collect the cubies and what do I see attached to the carton? A Geo Green flier stating that are in partnership with the oil supplier! So every restaurant that gets oil from this supplier gets advertising from this company. I've been told that Bio Diesel producers are getting a $1 per gallon subsidy from the feds and they are using that money to buy waste oil.
Watch out for your oil folks, this is going to be a bumpy ride!

It was only a matter of time until something like this happened in my humble opinion - there's money in muck.

Enterprise in action! Same thing is in place here in parts of Australia. There are plenty of bureaucrats wanting to control another industry.

Our main source of WVO is now using a service called " Fryer Ninja" or something like that. The restaurant basically leases the oil, its filtered once to reuse, and then the service sells the WVO to the local commercial biobrewer who , btw, said to me " I'd never run a vehicle on this." All about the money honey.

Three years ago we were paying guys 25 cents for their WVO. Back to the future.

I have heard that the same situation applies in Australia.

Sorry for ya' man. I saw a collection container at the back of a restaurant in a small SC town. I was upset because I knew that some part of the alternative fuel movement just died! The corporate logo just stung. If it weren't right by the police station I'd think of raiding it! Ha!
I've never burnt WVO as I'm new to the diesel game, but it was a bummer seeing this and now hearing your story.

I think this container I saw was the same "Geo Green" company. Drill holes in the containers at night? hehe.

Gotta love corporate America. They own the government and they want to own you and me next. Maybe they already do, we just don't know it! Or maybe we do.

Fill the container with water !! Cause a little friction between the company & the restaurant. They may be happier to deal with real people then as you would be nice & friendly.

When I was collecting grease always took care of the owner. Would eat their regular, use the catering for company events, reccommend the place and always look for the owner when I was there. We were each stakeholders that way.

We have one source where another companys barrels mysteriously showed up and ours were pushed aside. No locks, so we'll just keep sucking the good stuff off the top and let the other company take the bull****

Its happened in the past also, the new drums that show up usually just sit off to the side and we end up removing them weeks later at owners request. I guess they just figure someone will fill them up

Here is a link to their contract. They claim to be saving the planet one french fry at a time. Ha! They offer the service for free and agree to promote the restaurant as eco friendly. Bla bla bla.
