Anyone Interested in a Co-op in the Albany, NY area?
I'm a seasonal college student there and I'm going to start picking up oil in the fall. I won't have the room for a good filtration setup, so hopefully someone in the area is interested in a co-op or something. Otherwise, I'm gonna need to devise some sort of compact or portable filtration system.

Depending on your intended scale of operation, starting a Co-Op can be hard work, have you searched relatively thoroughly for an existing one? Sometimes they don't have a very strong web presence, and require some work to find. You could also check craigslist for people requesting WVO, and see what they are doing, and if they want to team up.

Our "gatherer" was a college student working at a few wing joints. He drained the oil himself, so it was clean and provided an excellent feedstock. We supplied him with all the fuel he needed free.
Any luck hooking up with some local brewers? |

i'm in the germantown area (about an hour from Albany) and would be interested in starting something if it was closer to this zone. i donated most of my equip to a collective in Brooklyn before I moved, but might be able to land some filters and barrels. if anyone is in this area and wants to talk about (or already knows about!) a collective let me know!
