WVO tank in trunk without drilling

Hello everyone,

I have all the parts for my conversion. Heated hose in hose, heated filter, 10 plate heat exchanger, a 13 gallon marine tank with 5' of 1/2" pex tubing for in tank heating.

I'll be using a greasecar copilot for the brain. All ready for installation.

My question is, can I route the hoses through the car without running them through holes in the bottom of the trunk? I figure it would have the dual benefit of A) not drilling holes in my trunk, and B) less heat loss during the cold months.

I know I saw something about it somewhere with a 300D but I can't find it now.

drill baby drill....

You can get away with it. If you feel better about it you could prime and paint the fresh bare metal.
if you do drill, make sure you protect the hoses from chaffing on the hole. File it to take off burrs. You can use rubber grommets to help protect also. And you can seal it all up with silicone when you're through to help with a water seal.

I ended up using the existing drain plugs. Fit very well. I used extra fuel line as a gasket. Also worked very well.
