You would think they would just make some biodiesel with it.... I know of at least one base that has a biodiesel processor they use to recycle their grease. Wish you could see the current bid!

Have the government recycle it, na, they have a budget for more new.
Let one of us subjects pay them to haul it away. Check their web site, they
sometimes auction off almost new vehicles. Medical equipment by the
container load.

Good luck getting that stuff ... that stuff is in Alaska.

That is about 3,800 gallons of WVO or about $15K "worth" of fuel for the greazzzers out there.

Thanks for posting that Silber.
I'll keep an eye out for something closer to home.
I used to go to DRMO auctions when they were downsizing
military bases to get equipment for my business. Got some
good deals but a shame to see all those tax dollars sitting
there collecting dust. A lot of unused goods going for cheap.

I just don't understand how or why the government would want to stockpile that much grease. Would it not make more sense to have a recycler come and get it on a scheduled basis?

Yeah, there is no end to government waste. How do y'all think we got almost 17 trillion in debt? It's a bad situation this country is in. Overspend on things we don't need, borrow money from China to pay that debt, print more money to pay china, raise taxes, and spend some more. 2+2=5 if you add one more.

Wars and tax cuts.

But it's got nothing to do with this thread, so keep this kind of stuff where it belongs please. I avoid that part of the forum for a reason!

I think it is fair to ask the question about government waste (money) as basically this thread is about about government waste (used cooking oil). Taxes on us worker bees is up, as is debt.

At my business I have some equipment purchased from the government that I paid 25 dollars for which cost 2000 dollars new 5 years before.

My federal income taxes are projected to go up 3% this year. Lucky to get anything at all - but my pay raise was 1.5%. Overall, I am taking a 1.5% pay cut this year. Am I supposed to be happy about that?

I don't mean any offense Silber. Re-reading my last post, it sounds like I am confronting you when that is not my intent. I am agreeing with you.
