Are monarch injectors noticeably better for WVO?
I've seen them on several websites touted as being better for alternative fuels. I have been running stock injectors, and if my current problem winds up being injector related, I would love to hear feedback from actual users pro/con before switching them all out instead of just the nonfunctioning ones.
Thanks Nathan |
Yes, but your real culprit is the 240 vs. 265 nozzle. The latter being 100% better. Instead of high-jacking your thread, check out the FS section as I got 2 more sets of Monarks for sale.

Difference
I did not notice any difference. In my two tank system in warm weather your results may very. For the same money get the Monarch for double do not bother.

Havnt noticed any diference in performance. Weather or not there is a difference in longevity is unknown at this point.

How many different nozzle manufacturers are there?? I have used bosch from Advanced Diesel in San Diego, but they changed to Nippon Densu which have been in my 6.2 Blazer for 8 years, no problemo. (I've gotten nozzles fron Ecology Auto Wrecking locally, including the shims, have now about 200 [shims!]. I have found that people take a worn out Benz to the shop & 1st thing the shop does is replace nozzles. When that doesnt fix it they unload the car & there you have it) Whats anybodys take on ND's??

So neither the Monark or the DNO SD 265 Nozzles are as likely to get plugged up. So to the less likely to plug I would guess they are better. But, after that I have not read any indication they are better for WVO. Another problem is if worn Injector Nozzles are being replaced it is hard to compare them because you would think any new Nozzles would be an improvement. |
I recently replaced my monarch nozzles with whole reman bosch injectors after they only lasted about a year running a two tank system. Plugged up and the spray was off, a lot of nailing. Put in the reman bosch injectors and the car runs like butter.
Haven't burned enough wvo through the bosch injectors yet to comment/compare but so far so good. |
