I am working with 25 mcr filters from polypropylene on WV0. And i am using just gravity.
I am looking to get 10 mcr and also to try WMO on this filters.

If you run WMO or WVO, all you have to do is mix in about 15-20% gasoline and filter it 10 micron and then again to 1 micron. You can buy bag filters pretty cheaply.
Don't mix WMO or WVO because you will get a gel that comes out and it will clog your filters.

\ That last part, does that mean don't mix either with DF, or don't mix those together?

I dont use gasoline to cut any of my fuel. I only use diesel fuel for cutting the wmo. I use hydraulic oil, and other oils regularly. Gas burns hot too for my liking.

I've burnt lots of different oils in my ford IDI turbo diesel. Filtration is key, I filter from 75 micron to 20 micron to 10 micron with water separation to 2 micron absolute. Then I blend 10-15% rug and filter for 24 hours in a pressure driven centrifuge. Currently I have run 200-300 gallons of waste crankcase, hydraulic, and mineral oil. I also blend in a double dose of power service diesel kleen to help the injectors.
I'm not sure how it will run in a mercedes, but as long as it is thin enough, it runs well in the ford. I should mention that I have a two tank system as I have decided that it works best to start/stop on diesel since the oil does not get along well with cold engines. That will coke stuff up real fast. |
