Nor did I imply that you did. I was simply asking if Kero would be a better option based on the information that is in the owners manual.
As I mentioned I've never run any form of oil in my cars for fuel, and as ah-kay pointed out "Cutting diesel with gasoline is completely different from cutting Oil/WMO/WVO with gasoline" - so my comments are irrelevant. Cheers |

So to be sure. Oil is also OK for turbo charged engine?
My intention is to filter oil over the textile and then to insert additional filter in pipes system. Not only for filtering but also for visual monitoring of drt of mixed fuel from reservoir.

once upon a time, long ago, like 10 years ago when i was a beginner, i lived in oklahoma for a year, driving deliveries in oklahoma city, living outside of town.......out there they sell kerosene at the pump, never in south florida.......anyways, i used to buy it, to use to cut my wvo a bit, until i learned that it has a much lower energy content than diesel, even lower than wvo, and all i was accomplishing was costing myself MPG......then i switched to diesel, until i learned the hard way about mixing wvo with diesel long term, when the fuel goes through a temp change, like at night, all the parafin comes out, and makes a slimy mess.....which eventually starts filling your canister filters real quick, like 300 miles only.....so then when i finally smartened up, and started using gas, no problems......as it is a straight "solvent" with no waxes or other content, and does have more energy than the wvo......nowadays, i take it a step further, and collect peoples old stale gas (lots of boats and rvs and equipment in south florida) for free, and use this, letting the phase separation and crud settle first, and then mixing it with the wvo 20% in the barrels, it seems to also make all the gooey crud from the wvo settle out to the bottom really well, after a few days.......so far its been great.....got 25 gal. old gas last time, and it wasnt even that bad......it was old, but someone could have run it in a generator or somehthing, not like some of the old gas i'v been offered......i obviously dont use bright-orange honey syrup old gas thats totally done for.....

low temperature limitation on "solvent thinning" ?
I've run about 35,000 miles so far mostly in an 85 300D, and about 10,000 in an 81 240D, using gasoline/WVO mix , Max about 10 - 15% gasoline.
I think most WVO problems happen with conversions that have a leak or other glitch. I'm skittish to run much below 50 degrees F with this method, tho one nite was out when it was 28 Deg. F, & barely made it up the hill. Anyone else have experience with cold weather running using this method? |

I've run into problems in obtaining hydraulic oil.
I better come up with waste motor oil in good condition. I think also that i will begin to look for opportunities to acquire WVO. So , what is the caloric value of diesel WVO waste motor oil hydraulic oil ?

Im running a filtered wmo/diesel mix and it runs fine. Smoke is a bit darker under full load but not terrible. As long as its clean there isnt much these cars wont run on. Filter it well thin it out with some rug and burn it.

WMO and others arent quite as temp sensitive as wvo. proper chemical thinning can allow running at most reasonable temps. Ive read of many who are running 15-30% W85 in with their diesel even at freezing temps

last yr i ran waste motor oil it caused my injectors to smoked too much and a cop pulled me over that send me for inspection too!
Now I run w veg oil and diesel and or rug. I find 30% rug and wvo was good for my engine and pretty good pep too. I put the oil in first then go to gas stn and put in 30% of 16 litre. I get these plastic cube that holds 16Litre of wvo.

I get some smoke at idle on wmo but i believe its more of a case of worn injectors. Almost all my driving is highway under boost so its not really an issue for me.

60/40 diesel/wmo this car smokes on straight diesel as well, well hazes is a better term. New nozzles are in its future but my ac clutch just died and killed my comp so thats the current problem to fix

Sounds like you need to "Sandenize" your A/C system (sorry for the hijack).
