Anyone ran Royal Purple for fuel?
I am being offered 10 quarts of used Royal Purple synthetic to run as fuel. Has anyone ran that stuff before? I have not knowingly messed with synthetic oil yet.

i dont think i would want to run that stuff as fuel. Its a racing oil designed not to burn, in fact I've sold it to people trying to pass the Boise emission laws because it wont burn. Run it through a few oil filters before you dump it in, if you decide to, there is bound to be metal in it.

Love the environment, eh? ;) You could mix some in with fuel or bioD, but up here, we only run shop heaters on used motor oil. Zinc, boron, etc, all sorts of crap that ought not be in a compression process.

I declined the offer. If it were just regular synthetic or a blend, I would try it. Royal Purple is high-end synthetic and I just don't feel comfortable dumping it in.

I'd run one gallon oil to full tank fuel.
