I plan on running 30 -50% wmo in my 1992 300d 2.5. I havnt had an issue with it yet in any of my diesels except the 6.5td chevy. Thanks to the optical sensor. My w123 ran great on it.

Odometer is broken, so keeping track of use in gallons. Ran about 60 through so far. Getting some harder starting, slight miss around 2000rpms, and noticeable loss of power, especially on the low end. Changed the fuel filter with no real improvement. No bubbles when cracking injector lines or fuel filter banjo fittings. Added an inline electric fuel pump, no difference.

Coking up injectors and/or prechambers? I'm busy right now and this a beater so my plan is to run a few gallons of D2 with a strong dose of Stanadyne performance formula for a day and see if that helps things. I'd like to check the injectors and prechambers for carbon build up when I get a chance.

Stanadyne/D2 treatment did the trick. Guess I'm going to be reduced to doing that every once in a while. I'm ok with it, I hadn't put my credit card in a fuel pump for a month before last weekend!

Stupid post: can someone school me on precombustion chambers? I'm assuming that's what the injector threads into, but how can I remove them for inspection/cleaning?

Just filled up, got about 18mpg

75% of that tank was my 36 mile round trip commute which is half 55mph cruising and half 30-40mph backroads.

Hoping it will go up once weather gets a little warmer. It's done a decent amount of idling on this tank, so that probably doesn't help.

I want to check timing and fuel pressure when I get a chance.
