On WVO now glove compartment won't close...

I've been running a WVO blend for about 3,000 miles and now all of a sudden my glove compartment door won't close all the way.
I know this is a 21 year old car, but I read somewhere that running on WVO will cause problems.

Anyone else have this happen? Maybe it's the cetane boost?

Theres an adjustment on the latch... Mine closes nice now, but doesnt line up with the rest of the trim...
I've never seen a "rebuild" kit for the spring, or even a new latch...

I think im going to just lock the sob from now often
Good luck

My glove box has a hard time closing and I havent even converted my car to WVO yet. Do you think that once I get it converted the problem will get worse??

Did you replace the hoses in your glove box reservoir? Sounds like they are plugged with crap.

I was having trouble with the driver door lock the other day while installing keyless entry, and a neighbor of mine came over and saw me working on the door lock, and said, "Ohhh.. That biodiesel not working out for you? I guess its still pretty new technology..." He was seriously implying that my door lock broke because of biodiesel... Anything that goes wrong on a biofuel powered car is instantly the fault of the fuel. Flat tires, broken glass, rusty exhaust, etc.

Good luck with your glovebox.

peace,
sam

You dummy!

You know there are many posts that warn you of that, especially if you don't run it hot. Shame!, shame, shame. When ever will you learn!

Did you dewater the WVO? That may be the problem cause the water would cause the compartment door to warp.

If you blend with 20% acetone, salt, baking soda, or grape juice, the problem will go away. If not, you're just not filtering well enough!
