60x fuel system

New to me 87 190D 2.5 . How does fuel system work? Is it similar to 61x like on 240D?

Interest is setting up for 2 tank D2 and WVO.

There is a fuel preheater in the system. Otherwise it's pretty similar to the 61x.

The flow is tank -> prefilter-> preheater valve -> preheater (if the thermostat in the valve is cold, otherwise it's bypassed in the preheater valve -> preheater valve -> lift pump -> main filter -> IP -> injectors -> injector return/main filter bleed/IP return -> tank.

Also note that there is no hand primer on the 60x IPs. If you get air in the system you will have to crank like crazy to re-prime.

Thanks.

Hmm. I wonder if a primer pump could be added someplace. Under the manifold tho.

Actually the fuel flow would be in tank screen>primary filter>thermovalve>preheater with valve cold, lift pump otherwise>secondary filter>IP>injectors>return from injectors and IP pressure regulated outlet>secondary filter> return to tank

Thanks, could anyone point me to a schematic?

Sounds like similar changes would be made to greasing a 61x.

Route secondary filter to suction sided of lift pump, output to IP, and block the bridge between the injector overflow and secondary filter.

2X 3 port valves to switch between D2, VO and flush.

You are correct, I was trying to post it from memory. I updated my post above.

So, slightly more complex than brick simple, but still able to fit on one or two napkins. Maybe a placemat instead. I love places that have the paper placemats for doodling and such.
