I buy B20 biodiesel in part because it minimizes the diesel exhaust "stink" that my wife doesn't like. As I'm fond of her (after 40 years), I try to do things that make her happy.

Unfortunately, in our little slice of heaven we are down to one B20 supplier. Should it go away, we'll have to run straight D2. I can add a lubricity additive but I doubt it will modify the smell. Any suggestions?

Are there any B100 or less alternatives near you? If so you just purchase the fuel and blend it back to B20.
ie: add 2 gallons of B100 to 8 gallons of ULSD = B20. A little bit of a hassle but to keep peace it should be well worth it, while still enjoying your MB.

Switch to renewable diesel. Its available all over the bay area and superior to B20 in every way.

There are no biodiesel pumps in Virginia. Damn shame, my vehicles run better on it, but the bioD can not compete with 2$ a gallon DinoD

Have you considered just adding a gallon or so of cheap veggie oil (fresh, not used) to the tank before refueling w/D2? The fuel terminals call that "splash blending". (A drive down a bumpy road immediately after fueling completes the blending.) I'd start with 1 gallon per 10-15+ gallons of D2 and see how it smells. Adjust according to 'scent'. Don't do this in colder climes - gelling/clouding issues.

I recall there is a "perfume" additive for the smell of D2, but can't remember where I saw it - Jegs or Summit.
