Was just being sarcastic. That said, if you did use a gallon of pure citronella oil, it probably really would do something productive, if not warding off all traffic following you!

Why not? Rolling up to your kid's school in your mobile superfund site is the perfect way to teach him/her to nut the **** up. You don't want to raise a sissy, do you?

That would be cool, after an emp attack, all you see are old diesels and carbureted cars around. A guy could open his own filling station, with black diesel. Filtered WMO mixed with small amount of gas if weather is cold.
You could use the same crappy excuses as the big oil companies did. "Oh well.... there was a production delay, so the price has doubled for the week....sorry...."
lol...

I always get a laugh about all these "EMP" scenarios. I hear guys brag about how their diesels will still run after a "doomsday" scenario. I ask them," But WTF are you going to GO?"

Ranks right up there with hoarding gold as a security blanket. I have yet to find a decent recipe which includes gold as an ingredient (chicken cordon AU, anyone?)

Nope, best case scenario would be organic transportation, lead, potassium nitrate (saltpeter), sulfur, charcoal and a clean water supply.

I'm always amazed with how long and how far those "Mad Max" scenario guys go without flat tires and how no oil for lubrication is ever needed.

I've read up on EMP its pretty cool stuff.Gamma rays from blast or a star too,hit the nitrogen atoms, and produce current. With vehicle only engines running will be burnt up if solid state.I don't know about alternator wires thou.

Maybe because approximately 90% of the world's population lives in the northern hemisphere?
