Most of it is unfiltered, but is easy enough to do. Yes, you can blend it or run it straight in summer. I know someone who has been doing it for many years.

Can you explain cubies? Are these 1 cu ft square containers?

Uh...I don't even know where to start with that video. I'll be polite and say this- if you are going to run veggie, you should do it the best you can. I ran my grease through a blue jean pant leg and then a sock filter. Once I had 55 gallons, I heated the oil for 24 hours to remove any water (it settles at the bottom of the barrel). Then I added bio-bor before running it. I did this for 10 years without a problem.

I appreciate your offer, but filtering takes time and I've already given away my equipment. I have called tri-state. They aren't much for answering the phone

Ha! I watched that video and thought man that's going to get some reactions! People who run WVO are going to freak and people who hate WVO are going to freak. But I'll give credit, it's almost third world but it shows how much abuse the 5bangers can take and still keep running!

Well with that sentence I was trying to make a joke so it seemed a full list of all the engines would be tedious - brevity is the soul of wit!

You didn't include at least in passenger cars the MB OM602, OM603, and I have an 81 Datsun 810 wagon that I imported to my little place in the Bahama's from Miami that has an LD28 a six cylinder 90 HP indirect injection that is an extremely solid oil burner, I brought it over there in 1987 and have never needed anything but fluids and filters since, running about 5 or 6000 miles a year on it.

Got a Yanmar TF70 and a 12HP China diesel over there as well, the Yanmar is very solid but a bit more refined and the China is a rude and crude beast that runs a bit rougher but will probably run for ever all patched up. I also had a fantastic Yanmar D36 diesel outboard it was so fantastic it was stolen when I was back home here in the States.

Nothing like all these Luddite diesels but really really interesting is the new diesel outboards now being distributed by Yanmar produced by the German company Neander. A bit pricey but I'm strongly considering a pair to power a 19 foot Mako I keep over there.

Just a bit of additional info that might matter. The restaurant oil and their cubie containers are sold by weight , most often 35 pounds rather than by volume which is closer to 4.25 gallons.

So at 35 pound per cubie you could in theory in a 1-Ton carry 57 cubies of WVO and remain within the 1-Ton parameter. So that might increase your estimated carry capacity by almost 50% making the trip more worthwhile.
