Anyone seen THIS SVO site??

HERE

They have a neat little kit that installs an electronically controlled servo that switches between SVO and diesel after an installed heater core warms up the SVO adequately.

Neat thing about this system is that you actually run both diesel AND SVO in the car....a separate tank for each that you switch between.

Seems like a fantastic idea for you guys up north!

Here's a diagram of what's happening with their 'kit'

and a look at an MB install

Greasel (the link provided) is a very established co. here in US and maybe Canada too.

All the kits on this side of the ocean use two tanks. All require that you start and stop with diesel fuel. You then only drive on waste oil when engine and fuel is warm.

In germany it's a different story. There are many who use one tank full of waste oil or a blend of waste oil and various other stuff (diesel, different forms of alcohol, gasoline etc) and dont start and stop using diesel. Just a different approach to the waste oil process was developed and used on each side of the great pond. Climate may have a large bit to do with it. One tank systems dont work in snow climates or close to snow climates. The stuff gels up in your fuel lines IP etc. Also more straight store bought vegetable oil is used over seas. This stuff does not gell as early in the temp ranges as waste veg. oil does.

Knocked the dust off an old one....;)

Greasel is now Golden Fuel Systems.

There is also Frybrid, Greasecar, Plantdrive, Fossilfreefuels and others.

Best approach is 2 tank system, start and stop on diesel. With a good install, no problems at all.
