617 Unimog on WVO makes it to FL.
OK Journey from OH to FL is complete.
Some fuel filter problems but that seems to be it "MAYBE" Most the trip fueled at 50%WVO. Used up to 75% WVO once too. "MAYBE" as in I have some close inspecting to do to determin final assement of wear and tear from the trip. Had a loud WHOMP about 3 hours from destination. 20min inspection showed up nothing and no changes in characteristics accured durring or after the whomp. Hopefully I just threw a stone into my fenderwell.

Glad to hear that you made it safe and sound from the Buckeye state to the Everglade state. How much WVO did it take to get there? Thankfully there was enough room to carry it all on board your somewhat larger than a sedan sized vehicle. Don't remember what year your MOG is, but the Ponton web site has a recently added section covering a goodly time span of their manufacture. URL below.

Congrats on your safe and sane journey!
Not to hijack this thread, but I have a question about Unimogs. Is it possible to attach an agricultural 3 point hitch to the rear of one of these so that farm implements can be used. I noticed a photo on the www.mbzponton.org site showed some farm implements attached to the rear, but I couldn't see what sort of attachment was utilized. I'd love to have a dual-purpose farm truck and tractor for my 20 acres, but only if it were a diesel --a 617 N/A or turbo would do the trick |

There are many AG users in the states with Mogs. You would be VERY wise to pick up a Mog for your purpose. I can lead you to others who do the same if you like. Also check the Unimog forum on this web site.

I have room normaly for extra fuel containers but I was LOADED with everything including the Sink this time cause the Mog was my moving truck. I also was pulling a US military trailer. It is about same size as the military radiobox on my mog. I used aprox. 60gals of WVO. and about same in diesel I think. I'll calculate all that out soon. Have to get the puter set up that has excel etc. on it so I can do a spread sheet.
