SVO in an uncoverted turbo

I thought it was time to get some opinions on this matter....

I have been running 75% virgin vegetable oil with 25% diesel (sometime a splash of gas for kicks) in my turbo wagon since June. I have had absolutely no problems sanz my turbo practically falling off (see other post). My car always starts on the first try (when in Tahoe it takes a couple of revs to idle when cold). I have only changed my fuel filters once and that was for routine maintenance not because it was clogged. There is about a ten percent decrease in power/mileage but I can live with that. I have run 100% SVO at times with similar results and at times I run 100% diesel with Redline diesel additive just to clean things out. I have a good friend who uses almost exclusively veg oil in his 300TD non turbo and he has reported no problems. Winter is approaching, I am sure I am gonna have to take some measures to get this going on these frigid Bay Area mornings we have around here (vege therm most likely) I just thought I would get this out there because I would love to hear your doomsday hypothesis for my car or any other opinions........Keep this in mind before you buy a $1000 dollar "conversion kit" for your $1000 240D.

Just out of curiosity, why are you using "virgin" vegetable oil? When you say this, I assume that you mean brand new, right-out-of-the-bottle oil. If I'm correct in this assumption, aren't you spending more than is necessary? What is the cost advantage here?

If I'm wrong, then you must have access to some free oil, and i want some too!!

I run wvo (waste vegoil) from the local "china buffet" in my F250. Cost of conversion was around $150. A wvo filtering unit cost (for filtering the wvo before it goes in the tank) about $75 more to fabricate. And where I live (MN) my wvo is solidified for at least 6 months of the year.

I am converting a 190D turbo for my own use next with a bit more sophisticated conversion design.

I have also helped convert tractors, heavy equipment, generators, trucks, and over a dozen cars.

It is niether very difficult to convert to wvo or expensive.
Oh yeah. I have over 25,000 miles on wvo so far. I figure it costs about 8 cents per gallon amortizing in the conversion, collection, and filtering equipment. And about 1 minute per gallon for the time it takes to attend to the prefiltering.

I sell well tested plans on my personal website as well as have a huge FAQ page and outline of a typical conversion..with diagrams.
