Anyone out there use these things? I just got one, and so far am satisfied on how well it takes off road dust. Does this duster harm the paint at all? Anyone have any testimonial stories? Thanks

Nick

I have not had any personal experience with the car dusters. I wouldn't use one on my car. For keeping a "indoor" car dustless they seem to work well, but for real-world applications with salt/grit/grime/mud/bird droppings/etc I'm not sure how safe they'd be for the finish. However, I have only ever seen them used to remove the lightest of dust. Just a tiny bit of light particulate you could probably remove most of with a sharp breath. If someone tried to use it on heavy surface dirt or road grime I imagine it would scratch the paint and gum up the duster. Car wash is cheap, water is cheap, paint jobs or major re-conditioning is expensive. Definitly something to use with care. Just my observations...Lee

I personally am a BIG fan of The California Duster. Mostly I see it used on show cars more so than daily drivers. Just about everyone that shows their cars from 57 Chevys to Mustangs and Vettes use the Cal. Duster.
I use it after I take my garage queen out and before I use Meguiar's Quick Detailer with a fresh towel. The combination really keeps my car looking it's best just about all of the time.
