Talking Success! I drove the SDL today!!

All I can say is wow!! It's a lot different than the Toyota! Here is part of the story. I'll post pictures and the whole story in another week or so. I bought the car off ebay back in January, it needed a lot of work, but the price was right and the body and engine were in good shape. So now after many weekends of work and about $1,500 in parts it's on the road, registered it last night. It drove real well the steering was tight the transmission shifted nicely. Just a few issues the front brakes pull to the right, they sat for so long and got a nice coat of rust on them and are not really cleaning up that well. I ordered a new set of discs and pads a few minutes ago. The transmission cooler lines are leaking like crazy though, I just ordered those to. Other than that I just need to tinker with the drivers seat switch a little more the seat decided not to tilt back anymore. I also need a new battery, but my dad will get that this week when he swings by the dealer to pick up some parts. Everything seems to be fine otherwise, it's a lot of fun to drive, these SDL's are pretty quick once they get moving. Off the line their a dog but over 30 they fly. I have got to be carefull they sneak up on you. A few times I found myself going a lot faster than I thought I was! This forum has helped me so much, it would be to costly to own one of these without all the knowledge I have gained here. Also thanks to all the members who have helped me get tools and manuals.

I think I'll go for another drive now.

The seat switches can sometimes get corroded. Be careful if you take one apart, it is a mess of springs and ball-bearings. Not complicated to figure out but tedious to put back together correctly.
