Just an update.
The car came back from the body shop with a lot more rust than either the body guy or I imagined. At the end of the day, we negotiated a new, higher price to weld metal back into the newly discovered problem areas and fix it for good. Now, about that epoxy that holds the rockers in place... Two weeks ago I was replacing the shocks with Bilsteins. I used my floor jack with a wooden block under the jack points and a bottle jack beneath the suspension to adjust as necessary to ease of replacement. While working on the rear passenger side jack, at some point I bumped the floor jack while the weight was supported by the stands/bottle jack. This caused the floor jack to move off the jack point. As I finished up, I lifted the car by the now incorrectly aligned floor jack. For a couple of minutes, the weight of that side of the car was completely supported by the new rocker panel and not the jack point. There's a small dent in the rocker as the result of my carelessness, but the "weld" held up as there's no signs of cracking. I think it's safe to say that the epoxy works as advertised and I wouldn't be hesitant to use it anywhere else.

Good to know - thanks for saying so.
Did you take any pictures of the repairs?

I haven't forgotten about you guys.
Between rebuilding the injection pump and installing a new stereo I haven't been able to back it out of the garage during breaks in the wintry weather to get some decent pics. The body shop will have to go over some spots as well as give it a final buff. So it might be a few months yet before I can get some detail shots. This will have to do for now.
