body replacement panels

Hi Folks,

I'm a new guy here to the forum. I would like to share my sheetmetal shaping knowledge and tricks of the trade with you. I would also like some feedback, if you don't mind, as to what panels are needed for the various models of Mercedes you are restoring. I'm able to reproduce any sheetmetal part you may need. All that's needed is a good pattern.

Please let me know if I can be of service to you with your sheetmetal needs.

If anyone has questions regarding sheetmetal shaping, installing patch panels, etc., I would be more than happy to answer your questions in full detail.

Thank you
Randy Ferguson

Randy,

I will be replacing the dog leg and fender arch on my 91 300se.
I'm planning on welding the replacement in, except where the inner and outer fender lips overlap.
It seems a structural adhesive may do better here because it would provide both bonding and coating in one step (no future rust).

Any comments appreciated.

Andy

Hay Randy,

I have a 1977 280ce that has alot of rust in the rockers around the jack points that I need to redo. I am planning on ripping my interior out, taking up the carpet, and welding new metal in. I have never done a project of this magnitude but I look forward for the challenge and the since of acheivement I will have doing the work myself instead of taking it to a shop and not gaining anything from the project. I am just waiting for this crazy indiana weather to give us a break and stop pooping on us everytime we think about doing anything outside.
