W123 weather stripping
i have a 1978 240D with cracked weatherstripping on the doors. do i have to use a 123 specific replacement or is there after market stripping i can use? i've included a link to a possible replacement....

Answer:
The aftermarket stuff does not fit correctly.
There is a VIN break on all FRONT door seals, send your VIN# to Phil or Roy for correct parts/prices. 1237200178 Left front door weatherstrip 1237201578 Left front door weatherstrip 1237200278 Right front door weatherstrip 1237201678 Right front door weatherstrip REAR DOOR: 1237300178 Left rear door weatherstrip 1237300278 Left rear door weatherstrip

thanks guys....
wow! i only paid $500 for the car itself! i found the leak, it was the windshield seal. i have someone coming out Saturday (if it's not raining) to replace the windshield and seal.

what about the exterior window scraper replacement?
Not sure if that is what you call it - it is the rubber/chrome trip window seal - scraper - all are starting to crack now - wanted to know best way to replace them - looks like PITA ...
