Gentelmen

I will be doing essentially a frame off restoration on an 86 560SL. I power washed the undercarige yesterday and found everything to be red or faded red. I expected under the front wheel wells to see everything undercoated black. I was just painted red on top of undercoat. The floor pannels appeared to be painted red on top of undercoating. Since this car was previously painted. I'm not sure what the factory under side should look like. I do know that it was not painted with great care and overspray is everywhere.

Does anyone know the underside paint scheam.
