Maintain separate trim panel colors?

My 300CE is headed for the paint booth soon. I am going to stick with the midnight blue, but I am considering ditching the separate color on the lower body panels and painting them m. blue as well. Does anyone have experience doing this and/or some pics of the outcome?

I have done that to both the SL and the TE. Personally I like the look.

Those do look good. I am also considering black panels and bumpers.

I think matching the lower body trim to the rest of the car is the best look. Pete's cars look great.

I just did a repaint on an SE with midnight blue. Some of my body panels were missing and the replacements came in a different shade of gray (than the originals). Just for S and giggles I painted one Midnight Blue but didn't like the overall appearance - just to much blue - keep in mind a 126 is a bigger car and midnight blue is darn near Black, that played quite a bit on my decision to go back to gray.

Of course, I've seen 126's where the grille as well as the lower body trim all matched and I liked that. Different strokes for different folks . . . .
