Found more rust :(
Got my SDL on a lift for the first time, and looking under it things look great... except for the two subframe mounts. See the attached pictures.
How common is rust in these areas? I have a friend who is a fabricator who doesn't think they should be too hard to fix. Has anyone here done rust repair in these areas before? -Jason

Not too bad repairs. But dont drive the car until its fixed because those can give out any moment as is. Just some over head welding to be done and youll be good with proper sealing ie por 15 or if he uses stainless steel you wont have to worry about sealing it.

Hmmm,In that case i would rather strip all the undercoat back up to the top of that section. I would say that you will find far more rust above that. And the reason for rusting in a strange place like that should be looked for too.

not the usual place to find rust... i would definitely not run a car with a lot of rust in it, unless it has it all fixed...
