1990 190e 2.6 -- Fender Bender and more...

Unfortunately, the car got into an accident due to some driver not properly yielding on a left turn. Yeah, I know. My luck! The car has a manual transmission and to date has 220K miles (See attached pictures). Most likely, the insurance company will "total" the car for obvious reasons.

Now, I am thinking abut fixing the car myself but if you guys think other wise let me know your thoughts on this. I think the whole job wil cost around 4K using a body shop. Painting?

If I do decided to move forward and fix it (since I'm a newbie on this), I want to know if I should buy Used or aftermarket parts? Any good places on the net for this? Looks like I will need the following: New Fender, New Bumber and Impact Strip, New Hood, New Headlight assembly, Headlight Wiper.

I try to spin a bad situation into a good one so I'm thinking about updating the car with Euro lights plus clear corner lights (headlight wipers), euro impact strips, and a new grill. What do guys think? Any advice is greatly appreciated.
