Can this be repaired.....?

I had an accident last month and I was wondering if the damage to my 84 300CD can be repaired?

Thanks,

My first reaction from those pics would be move on to another vehicle. Use this one as a parts car.

These are unibody cars so I would worry about what other damage is waiting for you underneath. I don't think you'd be able to cut the rear off that car and weld a new one on cost effectively.

You could try winching it and straightening it out but I believe the structural integrity is compromised once the unibody is creased.

I hate to say it but I think it's alittle to far gone. You could try to pull it out but it wouldn't ever be the same.

Chad,

Thanks for confirming what already knew but did not want to accept.

I have already looked at a couple of 300Ds in the area, one coupe had 214K miles on it and the owner wanted $5k for it. The other was a four dour with 155k miles and rust at the rear wheel wells.

I'll keep looking , if nothing comes up I'll post mine in the for sale section.

Thanks again!!!

Try to keep the car for parts and look south west for a replacement. You should be able to find a nice rust free car there with burnt interior for very little money.

Cut the back off and make an AMC Gremlin tribute car. What do you need a trunk for anyway?

Chad's going to hell! Chad's going to hell! Somebody take Photoshop away from him.

Hmmm, an AMC/AMG tribute car? Maybe some ground effects?
