Get some sort of clearcoat on there asap.....err stainless doesn't do that corrosion trick like aluminum.

Keep them stainless on the driver's side and paint the passenger side. Drive it for a month, and then tell us how many people noticed that they were different.

The without-paint look looks like somebody stripped them but hasn't painted them back yet.....

I like the stainless. That's what I had on my '79. I always thought of them as sort of a muted bling. Shiney yes, but still just a hub cap. Keep 'em bare!

You could do a "reverse paint"... paint the star and ring around the outside body color....

I had the same conundrum

I ended up painting them. Masking is not bad (I masked and then X-acto knifed the areas out. I originally liked the stainless look but decided the painted would look better. I was right.
