How to remove the Chrome trim - Windshield
I have some rust at the top of my windshield (1995 E420)
Would like to remove the trim piece, and look closer, and while in clean and paint with POR-15 When I remove the trim - will it go back on again, or will I be required to buy new trim? Thoughts and comments on my approach are appreciated. The rest of the car looks great. 1 - remove trim 2 - Leave windshield in 3 - carefully clean rust out (small grinding wheel & small wire brush) 4 - clean with POR-15 cleaner products 5 - Apply POR-15 6 - paint with touch-up paint 7 - Pray the rust doesn't spread My goal - stop the rust before I have a hole through the roof, and defer the thousand dollar paint job for later. (priced full car - $3,000) Thanks
