Question Headlight door/cover repair

Howdy!

My 1986 420 SEL has a broken 'headlight door/cover/trim'. The area in front of the fog light, specifically, is broken. I ordered a salvage yard replacement from a forum member and when it arrived the tabs were broken off (picture below). What I need to know is:

1. Do the tabs need to be fixed
2. If they do, what can I use to repair them

Thanks.

Bill
