Seeking Advice on Door Dent Fix-Choices...

Hello, I have a 1979 W123 that I just picked up and I'm seeking advice on the best choices for fixing a major dent in the passenger side front door.

I've included some pictures for anybody that's curious. My two main choices would seem to be finding a replacement old door to swap in and then color-match the pain on (or entiretly re-paint), or have a body-shop do the fix. If I were to take it to a decent body-shop, what kind of price-range do you think I would be looking at?

Thanks All.

Get another door. Even if you can get the dent out, the window tracks are tweaked. You will continually have problems with the window, the latch lining up and the locks. There a gadzillion 123's out there and probably 100,000 in your color.

As a body man, even I have to agree that replacing the door is fast and cheap If you can find one in comparable condition. same color would be a bonus.

Thanks...

Thanks Guys,

That's probably what I wanted/needed to hear. You're correct that the window is no longer working even, but I did not think about the internal tracks being hard to fix as well if I were to get the dent pulled.

Sine the original white is probably aged and faded, would it be hard to have a replacement door of a different color color-matched to my current white color? Perhaps this would be a good time to just have a whole-car re-do and choose another color...?

Thanks for the input.

A same color door of the same year is likely to be just as faded.
and you'll have spare door parts! happy hunting!
