My son bought from a mechanic a '93 300SE with front end collision. All is good, body in perfect shape but the hood crumpled, passenger headlight and radiator destroyed, grille scratched but okay, cross member destroyed and bumper is plastic and okay. Of course, the air bags have to be replaced. It starts up just fine. I managed to find a cross member to weld into place, which the collision repair shop says is a perfect fit. That was over 100 miles from us and I was lucky to find it. The headlamp came 200 miles from us and again pure luck. But the hood is impossible to find unless we order it, or have it delivered from out of state. I've already searched 300 salvage yards in the state (FL) minus Miami and Pensacola. My question is: Is there another model or year that we can match that hood with, with or without grille? Need answer ASAP please so not to be charged daily storage fee by repair shop.

And you've searched Car-part.com? They usually have a good grasp of what interchanges. I would think seaching 300 salvage yards would make one an expert on the subject. Certainly a 92 and 94 S-class will fit. You can also check parts numbers on EPC.
