Matching spray paint

Hey all got the new benz this weekend and it has 2 spots neither one of which is that large. I am going to patch them myself and need to know where I might be able to pick up a spray can of matching paint. Thanks

Spray paint looks horrible on a car no matter how good you think you can do it.

Any dealer should be able to get the exact paint you need. The Classic Center should be able to do the same, possibly for cheaper.

My local automotive finish store will mix colors to match. High quality paint. For a bit more they will put it into spray cans. The cans are of a much higher quality than anything you can buy off the shelf. I have painted two of my benzes from the trim line down after doing minor repairs and it looks very good. You have to paint the whole panel....door or fender to make it really work.

My cars are both solid color. I have never tried it with a metallic. I imagine metallic would be a lot tougher to get to look good.

One can is good for one panel.

I also use their mixed paint for touch up with small brushes. I just put the very least amount of paint possible to cover a nick. Sometimes I use a tooth pick.

Okay so I need to call around to local auto paint suppliers to see if they can make me some spray paint. Thanks guys.

Also - you paint has probably faded. A good paint supplier will give you the fade circles to get the exact match for your vehicle.

I repaired a small section on the right rear fender of my car and although not perfect it looks pretty close.
I bought the paint from paintscratch.com, you get the paint color code from the tag on the front by the radiator and give it to them.
The attached picture is just after doing this but a few months later it looks better and you don't even notice where I did it anymore.

I went back and located this, have a look.
