What's it called & is there a part #?
Hi, Seeing as i would'nt class this as a technical question, i thought i would ask here - hope its the right place.
I was cleaning the car yesterday 93 300e 3.2l and noticed that one side of the car is missing a rubber seal. This seal runs full length along the top of the sill plate. Didnt notice when i bought the car! Does anyone here know what its called or have a part # or even know where i can get one? Thanks in advance to all! |

I'm not sure exactly which seal you're talking about ... can you take a pic? I can look it up on EPC if I know which one it is.

Are you talking about the piece numbered 131 in this picture? (Ignore the yellow highlight, that was for something else) If so, I think I have one. Shipping might be kind of awkward but probably not that bad; it's long but light.
Edit: It's won't let me attach the pic because I've attached it to another thread: Look at the pic in the first post of this thread: http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/mercedes-benz-used-parts-sale-wanted/259188-wtb-124-b-pillar-plastic-trim-palomino.html#post2274995

Thanks for the reply. I loaned my camera out, so havent been able to get any pics done yet - hoping to get it back next week.
The seal im talking about is part of the lower sill plate cover (bolts on to sill ) and also houses jacking access points. The seal if removed gives access to fixing bolts. Whoever removed it must have needed to remove the sill plate. They did not replace the seal. The seal is only visable with door(s) open and lines up with the bottom of the doors. I will post a pic when my camera turns up! |
