Is this a candidate for paintless dent removal?
 

Hi All,


Just scored an '88 560SEL for the low low price of $500. Other than the bumper paint peeling, the body's paint is in fantastic shape.

This is the only real dent in the car anywhere, and I wonder if it is a candidate for paintless dent removal or if it's in a spot that precludes that, being near the edge of the door and across the little "ledge" for lack of a better word.

Actually, because all the stress is on that body line, if you can get behind there, it may pop out with a slap of your hand!

It actually looks like the type of damage that would occur from someone trying to pull really hard and use their knee for leverage.

Ya, I'd try taking the door apart and then using either your hand or some taps from a soft rubber mallet.
