w123 wagon vs sedan floors, please advise
Hey members, I know I should stay up later and read more old threads
but I am anxious to get a floor in my wagon before the seasons cool So I am jumping into a new advice column: Please help me with the basics on my 300D and 300TD: What are the major difference in a wagon's floorboard and a sedan's?? Can I use one cut from a donor sedan...how hard is it to get out a donor? I know this could be extensively detailed, but I hope to pull out a few pointers from those that are "experienced" like where to make the cuts from a donor floor? Second option: I found the new pans for sedan only at klokkerholmusa, but if a sedan floor has to be modified anyways why not use the free donor right Thanks again for reading yet another thread to help this novice!

W123 sedan (saloon) and W123 coupe differences - information req'd

As far as I know from the front of the back seats forward the wagons and sedans are the same.

That sounds encouraging...
Read Army's thread about the coupe's front floors NOT being the same; I don't have access to EPIC yet so haven't seen an exploded view of the "wagon" floors. Found a thread including the sedan's though. I hope to get the cars side-by-side later this week for some rough measuring. Even though the wagon's rear pan obviously cuts upward at the back seat abruptly, I was hoping that the donor sedan's would work from front foot area back to this shelf = where rust gave way to Flintstones' brakes I appreciate folks weighing in...wagon owners?

Measuring with a tape measure is so twentieth century! But I'm sure it will work.
As an American (or not!) who has an American address and a credit card - I'd just enrol for the FREE epc service http://epc.startekinfo.com/epc/ You need to give the credit card to prove your American-ness. They don't charge so long as you only look at vehicles that were imported in the USA. Lots of forum members use this service.

The floors do look the same...
Taking a look on junqueyardjim's Russian EPC site
Have you tried the new "Russian" EPC I got this for you. It doesn't list all of the part numbers but the floor part number 8 in the picture below... Is the same number as the one on my sedan / saloon / 4 door. It looks to me as though this is more than enough confirmation of what Biodiesel300TD said.

I feel new energy and hope in my project. Now I can still come up with questions if you are reading If I order new floors, part #5 and 8, this is just the inside layer? There is a second layer of flat sheet metal from the underside, i think? Do most folks just cut out a section of old and weld in new flat metal underneath? My floors are gone straight through to coke asphalt! Also wonder if anyone has a "promo code" for discounts with the previously mentioned website supplier?? Or a different supplier of Mb floors? Heaps of thanks again

Now for the bad news...
Parts 5 and 8 are official Mercedes replacements for what is in fact a single piece of steel. These aren't really meant to be used as cover pieces - though having seen some rusty old W123s over here I'm sure anything could happen! If you have the dreaded rot along the side lengths of the car then you'll probably need to get some outer sill pieces (sills = rockers = longerons!). Dealer price for 5 and 8 is 550 euros per piece. I've just got a klokkerholm floor piece for my W123 (left hand side) for 130 euros... My W123 saloon / sedan old accident repair (and a bit of rust repair) thread Most people cut panels and seam weld them to fit. I'm playing about and want to try and replicate factory spot welds - this isn't the fastest way of fixing up a car... there are very few (if any) commercial repairers who would consider doing this amount of work on a W123.
