Well i screwed up, long story short i checked the fuses and went into the auto parts store to get more with the intention of popping them in. looked around, dumped off some old oil and when i came out i decided to wait till i got home to do the fuses. barely made it a block and BAM....

I just got the car so at least it happened before i started fixing it up. so now its just a little more worse for wear.

just wondering if anybody has attempted to fix/replace the cowl, as you can see the hood near the hinges dug into it pretty good.

This is happening at an alarming rate on this list, including someone that opened the hood in the garage and ran the garage door down. ( No not me )

Changing the cowl is major fenders off / dash / windshield / HVAC out job, then there is the issue with rust proofing hidden areas.

Some spot weld dent puller action to get it roughed out then putty to finish up will be fine. Spot weld dent pullers use nails and a puller not the drill a hole and insert a screw.
