Angry What happen to my color ?

I sent my car to the body shop to repaint my exterior color.

Mine is Malachite green with two-tone color.

I do the search on the internet about the paint code and found my body color is "DB249" and the cladding is "6856".

This is my car before repainted. You'll see that the cladding and bumpers are lighter green.

But after visiting to the shop today, I found this instead.

So I ask the technician about the color, and he insists that he bought me "6856" color for my cladding.

After that I surf the internet again and found...

So now I'm very confused.

The cars in this site below have the same color to me and it said they're 6856.
??????????? Mercedes-Benz ???? - Mercedes-Benz Club of Ukraine ? ???????? ???? - ?????????? W124 E320 American Boy

Did I note the paint code wrong ?

If I want my same old paint, What should I call the code of this cladding paint ?

mix a bit of "fade" into the paint and respray. (sorry, inside joke, all the painters understand).

It looks as though, with the usual slight variations due to different suppliers, mixers, etc., it IS the proper color. 5 years or so of sun has a more drastic effect on the paint used for the cladding than the body paint.

Your old paint looked quite a bit faded (more than likely the reason you had it resprayed) and the new is fresh without the UV fade.

I think my old paint didn't fade. I remember the first time I got this car from showroom and there's this shade like this since then.

The new paint I use is Glasurit. I don't know whether it involve or not ? because the technician told me that the factory paint of mercedes was brand Sikkens.

Have you seen these ? Here are the paint of these car that are same to mine.

If you have a look at this web page =>

Automotive Touch Up Paint from PaintScratch - Order Pro Grade Paint - PaintScratch.com

You can find the colour combination

I guessed the year of your car to be 1995 and found a combination of 249 and 6249

(So I don't think the cladding number is the correct combination)

It would help immensely if you posted the exact year / model / paint tag on the radiator support info. It also might matter what the country of origin the car was intended for.

On the left is the cladding code and right main codes that used this cladding combo for the info I have ( 500E for the N America market )

6211 KIWI GREEN _____ 249 C,254 ,261 ,815
6856 KIWI GREEN _____ 249 D - E,256
6304 MALACHITE (GREEN) ______ 249 G

A = UP TO IDENT NO.: B 365987
B = FROM IDENT NO.: B 365988
C = UP TO IDENT NO.: B 431235
D = FROM IDENT NO.: B 431236
E = UP TO IDENT NO.: C 153403
G = FROM IDENT NO.: C 153404
