Rust Prevention?
1981 300D
Hi Guys, I'm moving to cold weather and I wonder how I can prevent rust from attacking my car. Is there any kind of coating that I can apply underneath the car? Frequent waxing will be enough to protect the paint? Thanks for any input... Kefer |

One thing...
...you can really help yours and all ours up here in da north by bringing your nice warm weather with you when you move.
My only advice is to give it a good wash every two weeks or whenever needs it (whichever comes first...). During the 9 months of winter, take it to a do-it-yourself car wash and power spray the wheel wells. Sorry, not much help. This northern salt really kills a car fast!

Take it to Ziebart or something. Rust protection every year or so seems to keep it away. Too bad my car didn't get that before I bought it. When I get the chance I am outta ohio for my cars' sake! Sell the two old rusties and get some new (or newer) rustless cars.
