Amazing rust stopper
I have always been looking for a way to stop rust on old cars. Last week I found what appears to be the best thing on the planet. It’s called Fluid Film made by Eureka Chemical company. It’s made from wool wax and it has some amazing properties. It never dries and it never runs! It also soaks into small cracks and repels water better than anything that I have seen.
It’s available in spay cans and buckets up to 55 gallons. It's available at some tractor supply stores and on line. http://www.eurekafluidfilm.com/home.htm |

Nice try ! but you are not the first to introduce this product...
Por-15 However, it is not exactly an Apples to Apples comparison for usage... If you have rust under your wheelwell... and use this... the first time you do a good power/detergent wash it will be gone... but sandblasting/Por15 and you can clean it all day long with no effects.... |

I plan on using this on areas that don’t get washed. Inside the doors and places like that. Moisture from condensation gets into these areas and sits there for a long time. I have not found a material that hardens to be of any value. On my old Mustang it rusted the worst in places where they sprayed Zebart

So if I spray this stuff into the cracks of rust on the outside of my door it will stop it from further spreading?

Tasma, I think it will be great for those parts.. I checked and my NewHolland/Ford tractor dealer carries it .....
190d22, If you reapply it everytime your car gets washed it may slow down the rusting... but rust is very hard to stop without serious work or chemicals in most instances.... I worry about the poor little lambs which are getting slaughtered in order to make this product...can you stand that thought everytime you spray it on your car ? |

Yeah, it's a terrible shame about the innocent lives taken in order to further the cause of propping-up my self-image. But, if the quest of the red scurge to consume my powerbarge can be delayed for even just a moment, then I say throw open the slaughterhouse so that I might annoint the yacht and have the evil funk of self-loathing pass over my tribe.

You eat lamb chops? Why not put the rest of the animal to use, that's my view.
I'll just let it go, I'm not worried. It's gonna be my winter car when I can get a 'new' car. I will keep it in good mechanical shape of course and wash and wax.

Just a ridiculous rush hour rant on my part. I'd raise kittens if I thought I could make rust-fixer out of them.

Wool Wax Rust Preventive
Hey guys, lighten up! We're just talkin' about a little ol' haircut here for the sheepies, not Slaughter On Tenth Avenue.

I was just kidding guys.... I assume that it is just a by product of the meat industry.. just like leather....but I doubt it can be gotten just by shearing the animal....

You know, while we're on the subject...
I used to be an avid pilot but have since decided to spend money on Mercedes Diesels... In my readings a few years back I remember a product that was developed for the GA aircraft market that could stop rust in it's tracks. As I remember it came in an aerosol as it was originally designed to be shot into the wing of a plane to stop rust in the older Cessna and Pipers. The wing was then sealed up to prevent future rusting. Anyone else ever heard of this product? Maybe it didn't pan out or was too expensive but it came to mind when I was following this thread. I'll try to go through my old flying mags and see if I cna find the reference to the product. Maybe Sportys Flight Shop would know about this stuff.
