Barely any rust growth!
Only two more months of winter, and this December has been one of the coldest in a long time. Lots of salt and sand used, and you know what? Rust growth was little to none! All the spots I patched are holding true, although one has blistered a bit. That will be another project for spring. This car has exceeded my expectations. Now if the kid can just make his turns a bit tighter...he always thinks he's gonna hit the curb. I'd rather have him hit the curb than drivers in the other lane...he comes too close for my comfort.

Just wait a while and the rust will be worse that it was before. It will rust much faster in warm weather so watch out next summer.

A buddy of mine used to use an undercoating spray gun to spray his used motor oil all over underneath his old F350. Kept the rust at bay. Just don't let the EPA catch you doing this!! RT

Use ATF oil it's easier on the rubber parts, and whats a couple bucks for clean oil.
You can also buy a protective oil used on steel when it's left in storage.
