Repainting durability and Pitts, Pa Paint Shop

I’m spring cleaning my 400E, and I noticed the lower front, rear panels, and rocker panels are pretty well chipped, and I’m thinking about having them repainted.
Is repainting as durable (chipping etc) as the factory paint, I've heard so many confusing opinions about this?
Can anybody recommend a good paint shop in the Pittsburgh, PA area?

Thanks, enjoy your drive, timreid

Whe I lived in Pittsburgh I used Foremost Auto in Bridgeville. They specialized in high end autos with a particular emphasis on MB's. I have had work done on the composite panels ( front spoiler, bumper, etc. ) by them and have not had any problem with chipping. In fact I would say that it was more durable than the water borne paints being used by most manufacturers.
