I own a ML-320. I was just wondering what is the paint type on this car. It is made in the US is the paint a lacquer or an acrylic based paint. Does anyone know? And is the clear coat lacquer or Acrylic?

I was give a touch up stick from the dealer and it said lacquer on it. So that would indicate the paint is lacquer. Doe anyone know for sure?

If the base paint is lacquer could the clear coat be acrylic or is ?


On another project. Could I use acetone to removing clear coat or just some type of clear coat paint. And could I use it remove lacquer based paint?

Could acetone damage clear coat paint? Could alcohol damage clear coat paint?
