Anyone with a Turbine HVLP System?
I am seriously thinking about biting the bullet and dropping a g or so on an HVLP system (with breathing mask) to paint my car with. I think I can justify the cost if I spread its use out over several cars. I've painted cars years ago with old-fashioned paints and horribly undercapacity compressors so I know what it takes to do the body prep, and so on.
Does anyone have one of these? What do you think? Can you do a better job with one than with a conventional compressor and gun? Is it worth it? A conventional compressor and a good gun is going to cost me $500 anyway - its pluses would be cost and that it could run air tools (but I've managed to work on cars 30+years without air tools, haven't been stuck yet). Its minuses would be sheer size and possible electrical requirements in my house.

I used to own a TIP turbine HVLP system and using it was a breeze. Applied paint so evenly that even a little kid could spray properly. I highly recommend it, especially for beginners.
