scratches in plastic bumpers

Wondering if there is a way to repair scratches in my ML's plastic bumper.
I'm guessing there is some trick to repairing. I've got several from hitting one of those concrete poles, they are not bad and not deep. If you use a drammel to buff out will you make it worse? Can it be smoothed with heat? Any way to repairs these?????

I've been looking for info on this as well. About 1995 I once bought a plastic repair product for cars in a discount or parts store. It worked to fix a puncture in a rear bumper of a 1992 300E. I haven't had any luck finding a similar product now. Is there a "professional" product that the body shops use for this or does everyone just replace the parts?
