Yep it my SD isn't that bad yet but she is getting their. Most likely if you start to look, and poke you will find many other soft spots.

Their are a great many rust free southern and CA W126's availible, I think its time to move on.


Rust is car cancer, its not worth putting effort into a rusty car, because it will always be a rusty car.

I agree, get a rust free body. All of the engineering is based on a complete body. As it rusts away it is not what it was intended to be and you risk serious injury or death in an accident, even a minor accident.

You have a great parts car, now get a good car so you can use your parts.

Yep, for $1k(or less) you can get a straight rust free W126. Lots of time with northern cars the body may be shot but the interior and engine are fine, so swap them.

Its a big project but when you are done you will have something. Or you could spend a lot more for a really nice W126 and keep yours as a parts car.
