New Paint....finally

Hope this pic comes through. Just got my paint job! Dunkelblau. Went from a 20 footer to maybe a 5 footer. And back to the original color. I did all of the body work and prep work myself. The car had some surface rust when I got it - surface rust that led to more surface rust that I couldnt see! It all turned out really well. Getting the bumpers off was a paint, but went on easier. Otherwise, it was just lots of hours. I would say a good 40-50 hours of work I put in to prep the body and then get humpty dumpty back together. The body/paint was definitely the major upgrade on the car. Otherwise just some smoke to take care of. But seriously, you should have seen it when it was a work-in-progress : no moulding, various spots of primer. It was a classic beater. Now, just classic.

West Coast Auto Body and Paint on Venice. I heard of them from someone else who had a wagon done. They do good work and the price is right.
