water entry point / rust source under brake booster

Hi,

Just curious if given your experiences, there is a common point of rust or water entry below or around the brake booster on a w123.

Thanks!

There's a drainage hole there, if it was clogged water may have been trapped and rusted the area out.

also if your master cylinder is leaking and running down there it will take the paint off unless you are using synthetic brake fluid.

then the bare metal will rust like crazy!

Ditto, brake fluid is highly corrosive.
